  • Introduction
  • The DIA programme has been designed with the objective of training Bumiputera in the field of accountancy at a sub professional level.

Admission Requirements:

  • Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia SPM/SPM V or equivalent with 5 credits including:
  • Bahasa Melayu / Malaysia
  • Mathematics / Additional Mathematic (at least 5C or C+)
  • English (at least 4B or B)
  • OR
  • Pass Pra Diploma in Commerce – (PD 003) with minimum HPNG 3.50 or credit in Mathematic and English in SPM level.
  • Duration of study: 2 ½ years (5 semester)

Course Structure
The DIA programmme is divided in to 5 semester with the emphasis on inter-disciplinary approach to accounting. Thirty six subjects must be completed to earn the diploma.

DIA graduates with good academic results may further their studies at any local or foreign institution of higher learning. Among the courses available are:

  • Bachelor in accountancy (Hons.)(UiTM)
  • Bachelor in Accountancy (Local Foreign Universities)
  • Professional courses (MICPA, ACCA and CIMA)

The DIA qualification has been recognized by the Government of Malaysia as a sub-professional qualification.
